Russell Hobbs 18036 Breadmaker Review

 Russell Hobbs 18036 Breadmaker Review

The Russell Hobbs 18036 Breadmakeris a superb breadmaker for gluten free bread that has a quick bake function which only takes 55 minutes to bake a loaf of bread.

The 18036 comes with a delay timer as most bread makers do, however; due to the nature of Gluten Free bread it is not practical to use the timer function, the delay in mixing the dough would stop the yeast from activating. Do not let this put you off this breadmaker though as it still makes lovely bread.

The crust control feature is excellent as it allows you to get the crustiness just how you like it and with 12 different programmes you can bake all sorts of bread. It also has 3 different sizes of loaves to choose from. So for making gluten free bread it is perfect, since you may be making a loaf for one person in the house. We found the medium size loaf worked the best.

We like to stick to white bread (as the multi grain ones have an adverse effect on Stephen!) so we cannot comment on which loaves taste best with this breadmaker, but the white ones were definitely very tasty.
This breadmaker does come with just a small instruction booklet and only a few recipes so you will need to source your own, which is a major downside.

Once your bread is made and you have enjoyed the delights, it couldn’t be easier to clear up as all parts are dishwasher safe (although I have read reviews to say that this may decrease the life of your breadmaker).
